Data Processing Cycle
Any information or data that is sent to a computer for processing is considered input. Input or user input is most often sent to the computer using an input device such as a keyboard or mouse. The picture is an example of input being sent from the computer keyboard to the computer.

In computing, a process is an instance of a computer program that is being executed. It contains the program code and its current activity. Depending on the operating system (OS), a process may be made up of multiple threads of execution that execute instructionsconcurrently.[1][2]
